Group your interviews, drive as much as possible, stay with family & friends, collect your miles / travel bonuses on a credit card. It's okay to cancel or move one if you've got too many in a week. Try to start them early to spread them out (started end of Sept.), and keep it manageable. Schedule vacation or research blocks for Dec/Jan; Nov too. if possible.
