Interview Experiences The most welcoming of them all. People were elated with being there. Super-friendly! Gave me taxi vouchers to the airport. It was difficult not to rank them first after that...Ranked in them in my top 3. mostly pleasant I loved Brigham. The program is very strong and the residents were great. In a great city and area of Boston. Loved this program! Some harder interview questions. Great dinner. Relaxed, speed-date style. Lots of opportunities to talk to residents. Laid-back experience. Interviews with 4 faculty/residents, tour of department, and lunch with the residents. Amazingly welcoming department. The best vibe I got from a department. Efficient and well-organized. They even give you a cab voucher. Fabulous . 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Advantages Very active and caring program director. The place is buzzing with excitement. New facilities. Excellent clinical and research opportunity. Residents seemed to really like it and were all great people. 3:2 structure. Great name and in Boston. Obvious Harvard access. Gorgeous facilities, world-class institution, strong global and public health emphases (can get MPH!), innovative, excellent opportunities at Mass Eye and Ear, Dana Farber, BCH. Friendly and nurturing. Actually best fit for all of my wants and needs. Harvard name and access. The 3/2 program at BWH is truly outstanding and provides residents with multiple world-class opportunities. Phenomenal residents. BWH offers the best educational emphasis of any department in the country. Harvard..need I say more
LOTS AND LOTS of teaching/lectures (sometimes over 3 hours in a day) Great facilities, good atmosphere, good teaching, research is strong 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Disadvantages Though I like the idea of Boston, it was just too cold. Boston has a relatively high cost of living (although much better than the West Coast). Cold. Cost of living in Boston is high. A little stuffy. ?? Boston: cost of living, transportation, cold weather, etc. Boston isn't for everybody and no VA or county. Other than that, none. Boston (if you are a NY-type)
A lot of fellows (and volume is high but not overwhelming so unclear if adequate for residents...550k studies/yr) none 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
