Interview Experiences Long introduction/orientation by PD (>1hr). PD purportedly very enthusiastic and supportive of residents and students, but was a bit too blunt/abrasive during the interview for my taste. Residents seem happy though. PD is very enthusiastic and beloved by residents and demonstrated why during the interview day. PD very straightforward, enthusiastic
Friendly residents Very nice. Enthusiastic PD and organized, friendly PC. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Advantages Excellent salary, free laptop. Proximity to NYC Program continues to improve. Did not know Westchester had beautiful pediatric hospital or such extensive catchment area (to Albany). Only place outside of top five NYC programs that does almost all organ transplants and has great trauma. Program Disadvantages Run by pvt practice group.
Not research heavy. Westchester not my favorite area. But lots of residents commute from the city and it's a shorter drive than I realized. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
