Interview Experiences
Outstanding research opportunities here. Top notch faculty. Didn't get a great vibe from the residents. Some of my questions were answered with an air of arrogance that was mildly off-putting to me. That being said, I didn't meet every resident. Ranked it
breakfast, presentation, chat with residents, sample conf, tour of two hospitals, 3 ints with 2 profs each, dinner night before at the Modern
amazing program
Incredible night before dinner
Fancy. Tough interviews. Great program.
Enjoyable, well-organized (though long). They roll out the red carpet for you. Very impressive. Panel interviews.
standard
Program Advantages
excellent research, funding, extremely strong residents, very organized, comprehensive curriculum
Lots of research funding, great conference schedule, great Radiology education dept internationally known, HJD, great pathology
Awesome residents. People you would want as your friends in the hospital and out.
NYU name, great rep. NYC. Happy residents for most part. Great PD
New York City - amazing. Amazing facilities, good experiences at Bellevue and Tisch (which are very different), a lot of resident- independence, prestige, great fellowship placements
great location, good research, okay didactics
Program Disadvantages
Losing relationship with VA, program becoming smaller, lots of fellows take the procedures
No moonlighting allowed. Rigorous call overnight call schedule.
Not all mesh here. Didn;t like chairman a whol elot in interview
Weaker on peds per some of the residents who were interested in peds.
I sensed a very tense and strict atmosphere. bizarre
