Match Experience
I was invited late to Mount Sinai so I thought I had a low chance of matching; I was pleasantly surprised. Apparently Philadelphia is a difficult city to break into. Got more mid-tier California invites than I expected, thanks to my California permanent address. For Brown and BIDMC I got off the waitlist last-minute, and was given two days' notice for an interview spot... couldn't make either one. Third-year grades mattered way more than I thought they would. Get as many honors as possible. Lastly, send letters of interest. I got a few late invites following an email to the PC. In the case of one prelim program, I was granted an interview one hour after I sent a letter of interest.
