Interview Experiences great experience Excellent Was very impressed by the program and people. Very well run and regimented. Not too many interviews; everyone interviews with the PD, Dr. Ryu, who is sooo cool. He's a blast to talk to, and just a cool guy. Some of the other interviewers didn't seem as interested in the process, but everyone was n Amazing faculty, very young and energetic. 6 20 minute interviews, 1 chief 5 faculty. everyone was really nice and very happy. dinner the night before was awesome! Enjoyed it, PD seemed great. Did my internship in Chicago and didn't want to leave, made me wish I'd ranked this #1! Very chill interview, short and to the point 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Advantages great fellowship programs Loved it here. Top IR program. Great people. Great clinical load. Again, great people. Location, facilities, people. Very strong in IR. Location (very nice area of Chicago, although not as lively and youth-oriented as others), great name Young, energetic. Amazing location and facilities. Interventional program is strong location, reputation, top notch facilities, residents v happy, cardiac MR section awesome, 24 hr attdng coverage in ER Amazing location and facilities. Solid program. PD is awesome. Great location. High volume center. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Disadvantages Not many. Doesn;t have same name as MIR, MGH, etc, but great place. Location - my spouse did not want to live in Chicago. Lots of changes with unknown consequence; they lost the Evanston hospital, which will mean less call but also possibly no moonlighting Lack a large number of well-known radiologists. No moonlighting Lots of fellows. Location is expensive. Residents were not overwhelmingly happy. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
