Separated into AM or PM. Takes a couple hours. 4 interviews at 30 min each. Everyone who has interviewed there has a picture on the wall. Lunch w/ Chair Very laid back, two faculty interviews, a PD interview, and interview with one resident.
PD Was saying they are greatly stepping up research. Said that his average applicant steps were now 260 Nice new hospital, small program, word on the street is that they don't have as much clinical volume. Seemed like program is trying to get stronger by hiring strong academic people from other programs Awesome. I did an away rotation here so I already knew I would like it. Everyone was so nice, interview day was organized, and noon conference was excellent. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17

Great camaraderie between staff and residents alike. New hospital will house some of the rads dept. 10 min to Disneyland? Really amazing location. In the OC, safe neighborhood, great shopping, food, great beaches nearby. Residents were the most chill and friendly I met. Seems to be good camaraderie.
Nice location, near to LA, obviously California Probably the best program for me in terms of resident fit and location. Unfortunately, extremely interested in an academic career and I had to rank this program #3. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17

Expensive location. Lots of traffic. Hospital is separate from University Traffic in the OC can be pretty bad. Small program, Irvine (?), not connected to medical/undergrad campus As above. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
