Other Information Mid-tier northeast med school with smaller ophthalmology program. not AOA, ranked in top third of class (they don't specify beyond that). unique 'activity?' (if you can call it that) that was brought up in multiple interviews, and was told on interviews how it showed that it demonstrated that I'd perform well in surgery in the future. had letter from chair at home program and from one big-wig from a program in my hometown who knew me well and with whom i worked throughout college and medical school. was told my letters were incredible at most of my interviews, and i believe that's what got me a lot of my interviews.
Scores:
Step 1: 250s
Step 2: 260s (received score towards the end of interview season, only updated top 2 programs with new score)
3rd year grades: about half honors, half high pass, no 'pass' grades
