Well-organized, half-day interview. My interviewers were well-prepared and engaging.
- Program Advantages:
Good book fund, fun attendings, nice and for the most part 'normal' residents. All the advantages of the Yale name.
- Program Disadvantages:
Could be seen as an advantage or disadvantage, but there is 24 hr attending coverage.

Well-organized, prepared interviewers, nice lunch at a restaurant near the beach.
- Program Advantages:
Great environment at Mayo-florida (residents, faculty, ancillary staff). Beautiful new hospital and facilities. Residents get there own desk/space. PD is really nice.
- Program Disadvantages:
Smaller program with overnight call. People there liked this, but some people want a nightfloat system.

Fabulous, the best on the interview trail as far as I'm concerned. They put you up in a nice hotel and really give the royal treatment.
- Program Advantages:
Amazing book fund and nightfloat system where residents split the nightfloat with one other person and can get added vacation time this way.
- Program Disadvantages:
Can be seen as an advantage or disadvantage, but the program is very large. May be possible for people to get lost in the mix.

- Program Advantages:
Great attendings, beautiful hospital, all of the benefits of Dartmouth University. Beautiful area with great opportunities for outdoor activities. Good local schools. No state income tax.

Smaller program with overnight call. Pretty removed location wise.

Residents were laid back and cool. The attendings I interviewed with seemed really cool, too, although I saw them looking over my app for the first time right before I came in (they changed both of my interviewers after I got my first schedule). Ppl from

No overnight US tech, so you will get good at scanning transplant pts. You aren't responsible for CTs at night (they have a night hawk for that). That being said, they are very busy on call.

I ask the same question to every interviewer and, for what it's worth, the PD at Columbia gave the most thoughtful answer.
- Program Advantages:
Large open reading room (some ppl may not like this, but I did). Great clinical training (not as cush as some of the other NYC programs). So if you're not into working hard, don't come here.
- Program Disadvantages:
Older facilities, but still great equipment. Alot of remodeling of the deparment which could be good or bad depending on what stage you end up here for.
