Interview Experiences
Wake Forest- not much to say here. A TOP NOTCH program with outstanding residents and faculty. WS seemed like a fun city to live in - if you are married.
Very impressed by Wake. Extremely friendly people, nice city.
Great people and laid-back residents. Very relaxed day. Had a tour of city afterwards.
Well organized but something like 15 applicants. A lot of opportunities to talk with residents. PD seemed nice but serious and reported most residents go into Private practice. Really liked this program and ranked it #3
Loved it! Nice people. Conversational and friendly interview. Felt great about it. Really great noon conference. Ok dinner.
Really nice interviewers, lots of time with residents, great day overall.
Standard interview day. Optional real estate tour of Winston-Salem (I opted out).
Mostly great. Was mildly put off by one interviewer but it wasn't a big deal. Very friendly place.
Excellent

Program Disadvantages
not as in to research if you're into that
Expensive and mediocre health insurance.
Do not have all fellowships at Wake.
Winston isnt for everyone. If you're married it would be an awesome, safe, inexpensive city with lots of good restaurants.
Winston-Salem wasn't for me, though it was pretty and seemed like a good place to start a family.
Winston-salem is not for everyone, especially is single
Winston Salem was vetoed by my sig-o.
Winston-Salem was not for me. Seemed as though they had more residents dropping out than most other programs, which concerned me some.
Winston Salem
Not tons of research opportunities IMHO, but they are there.
Lots of random weekend calls.
