Match Experience I do feel that a certain degree of regional bias exists, so if there's a particular location where you really want to be, either do an away rotation or at least customize your personal statement to explain your interest. At first, I was worried about my relative lack of research, but this was rarely brought up during interviews. It seems that you can still match well without significant research experience as long as the rest of your application is strong. Try to have fun during the interview process, although the constant travel can be rather draining toward the finish. Hotwire and Southwest saved me a ton of money. For the most part, interviews were conversational, low-key, and actually quite enjoyable. I met a lot of really awesome applicants, residents, and faculty along the trail. Hope that this helps. Good luck!
