Great group of residents. Took us to a very nice lunch. I was very impressed by the program.
nice people. program director very upfront about faculty almost leaving. laid back interviews.
5 interviews. Nice people. No tour was kinda weird. Interview lunch was the best of the trail, took us to some fancy restaurant.
I did not get an interivew. Actually withdrew after rotating there - Program lost a lot of faculty several years ago and has not returned to what it once was. Buyer beware - they still only interview very strong applicants though.
No dinner AM interview 8-1 PM interview 11:30-4:30 If flying southwest which I highly recommend pick the AM interview because there aren't many flights after 6 on SW

Program Advantages

Nice location. Medium sized academic institution with friendly people.
pathology.
Good location in warm weather. Nice faculty. Moonlighting supposedly doubles your salary here during the R3 and 4 year. Trauma 1 could be a good thing or bad thing i guess.
Residents were friendly. Tucson, AZ is a great place to be that is really cheap Paid for call I believe thus can make alot of money and I believe their call situation is improving
5 weeks vacation
Great lunch at local restaurant with many residents. Tucson is nice, hot, but nice. Most everyone was very nice. Nice hospital/campus.

AZ can get hot. Location is not ideal. Tucson isn't exactly a metropolis.
faculty might be leaving if they have another financial battle
Program was in flux for a few years but seems to have recovered nicely. Call sounds brutal here but im sure you learn alot
Alot of angry attendings. One of the big names in body imaging reads out with residents without saying a word to them + he gets easily agitated and has to be calmed down like a prima donna. One of the MSK attendings makes first year rad residents dictate
Assistant Program Director interview experience was uncomfortably weird. No tour, did not get to see stations.
