U California (Davis): |
| | - Applied - Attended interview - Interview Experience:
| The longest one I had; goes from 8AM-4PM with 5 faculty and 1 chief resident interviews. But there is a lot of down time. Pretty standard 15-20 min interviews. | - Program Advantages:
| Medium sized program. It is an up and coming rads program in Cali. New pavilion will house ED rads. Great fellowships and research opportunities. A solid academic program. 12k/4yr book allowance. Physics course is provided 3 times while in residency | - Program Disadvantages:
| It's in Sacramento which isn't the best city. But it is close to Tahoe and SF. |
|
U California (Irvine): |
| | - Applied - Attended interview - Matched here (Ranked # 3) - Interview Experience:
| Separated into AM or PM. Takes a couple hours. 4 interviews at 30 min each. Everyone who has interviewed there has a picture on the wall. | - Program Advantages:
| Great camaraderie between staff and residents alike. New hospital will house some of the rads dept. 10 min to Disneyland? | - Program Disadvantages:
| Expensive location. Lots of traffic. |
