Horrible interview day experience. You meet in a hotel with 40 or so other applicants, never see the hospital. Some residents liked the program because of its proximity to Toronto (if they had family there, e.g.), but most seemed to go there just becaus

Match Experience
Obviously my Step 1 score was not what I would have liked and kept me from getting some interviews--and probably placed me lower on the pre-interview rank list than I needed to be to match at my top 3 picks. I took Step 2 during the interview process, but the score took a bit longer to come out and wasn't available until during February. So my only advice (aside from doing as best as you can on Step 1) would be to shoot for taking Step 2 in September or October at the latest so it is available when you actually interview at the programs. Many I think rank you as soon as the interview is done and don't revisit your application much after that.
