Interview Experiences awful...was teh worst interview of all during the seson...too many applicants interviewed at one time...the tour was absolutely boring and it was a hit ot miss if you got to interview with the PD - totally unfair in my opinion...one of the attendings that Very impersonal interview with 40 applicants. Many Caribbean and DO applicants present. Several residents expressed concern about lack of faculty support in the OR. Rotate through seven hospitals all the way from Danbury, CT, to Manhattan. Program was Horrible. Residents looked like zombies. Very tired and unhappy. Very hectic and chaotic, long and draining.A lot of us were interviewed at one time, around 25 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Advantages Near NYC , First year pay is one of highest I guess 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Disadvantages rotate through 4 different hospitals and they're not near each other...way too much to commute 4 or 5 different locations to rotate at, and all are a great distance apart. One is even in connecticut. On the outskirts of NYC, Programs and hospital has no rankings, rotating at different facilities in different states. Go here and you probably wont get good attending position in city or private practice. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
