Interview Experiences Work environment Nice hospital, strangely designed. More than adequate facilities. Ave. = 60-65 hrs/wk as per residents (although depends on rotation). Unsure of electronic anesthesia record.
Pt load Busy surgery service, but not overwhelming (as http://more.studentdoctor.net/viewresidency.php?residency=692 Another good midwestern program in a very nice city. Great cases and autonomy. In the top half of my ROL. Amazing, dreamy. Oldest anesthesia residency in COUNTRY (I hear.) Very fun dinner, residents are awesome. Hotel included Positive. Great program director Positive. Program Advantages see above Facilities were updated, fantastic. PD was inviting, all attendings and residents made me feel at home, talked about fishing and food. EVERY SINGLE resident showed up to the meet and greet and were mingling, all great, very down to earth, super inviting ( Very well-rounded, Madison is awesome. Program Disadvantages see above No fellowships in house (.. but they go to top-flight Peds and Pain) Not the biggest name...seemed very similar to Michigan, but with less reputation. Madison is a cool city, but removed from a lot. Wisconsin is cold. You have to do OB elsewhere (Chicago). Wisconsin is cold.
