  Yale-New Haven Med Ctr:
- Applied
- Attended interview
- Interview Experience:
Excellent institution.
- Program Advantages:
PD, chair, top notch people all around.
- Program Disadvantages:
New Haven, but definitely not the worst I've seen. Also, it is a close drive to New York.

Florida
  Jackson Mem Hosp/Jackson:
- Applied
- Attended interview
- Interview Experience:
Nice people.
- Program Advantages:
MIAMI. Metal detectors at entrances. Yes, they do have PACS. Nice new UM gym.
- Program Disadvantages:
In a bad part of Miami. Jackson is a county hospital and falling apart, however this is not as relevant to you as a radiologist (more of an issue to internal medicine) and they do have nice rads facilities.
Mount Sinai Med Ctr of Florida:
- Applied
- Attended interview
- Matched here (Ranked # 1)
- Interview Experience:
New PD from Yale. He is eager to recruit the best fellowship trained instructors and high quality residents. In my opinion, an up and coming boutique program.
- Program Advantages:
$17 mil invested in new equipment in 2008: 64 slice CT, new MRIs, and more to come. New faculty trained at the biggest names in rads (not difficult to recruit people to Miami). The hosp overlooks the Biscayne Bay and the view is absolutely breathtaking.

Michigan
  Henry Ford Hosp:
- Applied
- Attended interview
- Program Advantages:
No overnight call. $75 an hour for all call. Excellent TY with 4 rads months built in. The best amenities of any program I interviewed at. Great, hardworking, friendly people.
- Program Disadvantages:
Most dangerous city in North America - Detroit (well maybe Mexico City is worse). Now featuring the corrupt and incompetent 'Hip Hop Mayor' Kwame Kilpatrick.
  Michigan St U (Flint):
- Applied
- Attended interview
- Interview Experience:
Weird
- Program Advantages:
They have CT scanners I think....
- Program Disadvantages:
Flint is the #3 most dangerous city in the U.S. and the program coordinator has more than a few issues.
  St Joseph Mercy-Oakland:
- Applied
- Attended interview
Michigan
  U Michigan:
- Applied
- Attended interview
- Program Advantages:
Top notch institution that speaks for itself.
- Program Disadvantages:
Moonlighting is very controlled and profits can only be placed in book fund. A lot of overnight call. If you are a single male Ann Arbor is a terrible city for you. BOR-ING.
  Wayne St U/Detroit Med Ctr:
- Applied
- Attended interview
  William Beaumont Hosp:
- Applied
- Attended interview
- Program Advantages:
Swanky hospital in Royal Oak, a very safe city. New equipment. Ergonomic desks and chairs.
- Program Disadvantages:
Moonlighting only pays $35 a hour. Irregardless of spin, it seems moonlighting is only available to seniors(R3-R4) with little trickle down.
