Very relaxed environment. Friendly residents and faculty. Some very bizarre questions during interview. Great lunch. Most questions I had going into the day were addressed without having to ask.
- Program Advantages:
Separate children's hospital, relaxed environment, strong board recalls (pre-format change), some strong teaching faculty, built in moonlighting.
- Program Disadvantages:
Appeared to have less than ideal number of staff. Location +/-. PACS not standardized, some viewstations outdated. Little to no research.

Relaxed environment, residents, staff. Conversational interviews. Great pre-interview social. Good program overview answering most all questions about volume, studies/resident, call, staff ratio, etc.

Mostly relaxed, very professional. Some interviews relaxed, others very hard hitting questions.
- Program Advantages:
Fantastic Children's Mercy hospital. There separate hospitals - good variety - academic, children's, urban/trauma, great research opportunities and support from program, good financial perks for food/presentations/call/etc.
- Program Disadvantages:
Two different PACS, one location using transcription service. Commute could be longish to one facility or another.
