Applications
Colorado
  U Colorado:
- Applied
- Attended interview
- Interview Experience:
Huge group on a Saturday with (optional) info session/tour with the chairman on Friday. The tour included everything not radiology related on the impressive campus. I didn't feel that it was particularly useful.
- Program Advantages:
Nice facilities; Denver is a cool town with great weather; Chairman is very involved in advocating more research and building the program.
- Program Disadvantages:
Program is in Aurora, which is about a 30 min drive through Denver's 'ghetto' from downtown; residents kept to themselves during dinner and didn't seem very interested in telling candidates about the program; Denver is not very cosmopolitan.

Pre-interview dinner was the best I've been to, with a fun group of residents who could not stop talking about how much they loved the program; Interview day started with presentation from PD, who is a nice guy with a good sense of humor; beautiful confer
- Program Advantages:
Collegial atmosphere; residents seem to get great training; highest physics scores for some reason; Chicago is a great city; U of C campus is beautiful and short commute from downtown; relaxed call schedule; some moonlighting available.
- Program Disadvantages:
Not a level-one trauma center; call may be too chill.

- Attended interview
- Interview Experience:
Pre-interview dinner wasn't the best - sit at a long table and talk to a resident if you're lucky to be near one; hospital isn't the nicest; interview day was speed-dating style - 6 interviews; all interviewers were nice, although one was substituted in a

- Interview Experience:
Very relaxed interview day. Two interviews - one with PD and the other with the Chair. PD was very nice and gregarious. He seems to be a great advocate for his program. Chair was on the older side and mentioned retiring soon.
- Program Advantages:
Very easygoing residents who seem to be happy. 24/7 attending coverage (except during IR). Great support staff. No fellows, so plenty of procedures available.
- Program Disadvantages:
Small (taking only 4 residents this year); IR seems to be very busy.

- Interview Experience:
Four interviews: Chief resident, PD, Chair and member of selection committee. PD was very nice and easygoing; good sense of humor. Interview with the chair was great, although he is a bit eccentric.
- Program Advantages:
Good location in Philly; no fellows, so residents get a lot of experience; free parking.
- Program Disadvantages:
Felt like they hid the residents from us; possibility of them being overworked; no attendings on call; didn't seem like it was anyone's 'first choice' program.
