Interview Experiences Four interviews, three faculty one resident. Pretty standard residents addressed themselves as Doctor, did not sit with us while we were eating lunch 4 interviews: 2 attendings, program chair, chief resident. Very laid back interviews, very friendly. Sort of disorganized in the day's schedule with interviews. Tour and noon conference. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Advantages In chicago. I think this place is trauma 1 which could be a good thing. No real fellows so lots of hands on, especially IR volume, board pass rate is top in country No fellows, very strong IR. Strong abdominal. Level 1 trauma center, nice facilities. High volume, early independence with night shift reads. Strong for a community porgram. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Disadvantages Small size makes call frequent. All the residents were one race, which shouldnt matter but it was kinda weird. Too many Indians Not as good reputation as other programs in Chicago. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
