- Interview Experience:
Weird vibe. Interviewers gave me a hard time about whether I was really serious about the program, which rubbed me the wrong way. Atmosphere seemed more serious and cold to me than it was elsewhere. But, all my friends that interviewed there really liked

Colorado

- Attended interview
- Interview Experience:
Saturday interview with ~50 other applicants felt like a cattle drive. Few residents to talk to and those that were there kind of stayed to themselves, which I found strange. Didn't get the full feel.
- Program Advantages:
Great facilities.
- Program Disadvantages:
Seems to be adjusting after some initial dissatisfaction with recent changes, and education/research seem to be improving, but I wasn't convinced that the quality of the program is as strong as others I interviewed at.

Interviewed with Kevin from The Office's dad! Long day with a tour of Grady, but it's important to see what Grady is like, aka pretty run down facilities but a gem in terms of pathology seen.
- Program Advantages:
PET-MRI being rolled out seemed cool. Nice city. Residents see tons of pathology at Grady.
- Program Disadvantages:
Traffic in ATL can be overwhelming.

Great interviews. Residents were really cool and laid back, really enjoyed talking to them. Surprisingly laid-back atmosphere. Technology they have come up with for dealing with everyday hassles was amazing. Great pre-interview dinner! Would have been #2
- Program Advantages:
Amt of call is not grueling at all--4-5 wks of NF! Residents are given a laptop and a welcome gift when they start (this year they got jackets). Got the impression that staff cared a lot about the residents.
- Program Disadvantages:
can't think of any

Fantastic! Small applicant group made it more personal. Associate PD gave me a hug before my interview as though we'd known each other for years.

Dept is extremely proud and supportive of the residency program. High expectations but relaxed atmosphere. Built-in fellowship with 3/2 program means smooth transition w/ new boards structure.

Match Experience
Don't let the hype about regional bias keep you from applying anywhere!! You may be pleasantly surprised. Personally I experienced more east coast than west coast regional bias, being from the midwest, but it really seems to vary. Only got asked about step 2 score on one interview late in the season. Luckily I'd just happened to get the score back the day before! Most places didn't seem to care. Had probably one bad interview on the whole trail that I can remember. Overall they were very laid back. Good luck!!!
