Program Advantages New chair is awesome, good changes in the future Really great teaching from many of the faculty, expanding to 5 residents, Seattle is beautiful. good surgical numbers. van gelder is a big name, president of AAO
good surgical numbers Diverse pathology with large amount of autonomy. This is due to Seattle being the referral center for WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho). Van Gelder (chair) is exceptional. Protected research time (with a strong bioinforrmatics research). 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Disadvantages New facilities are still in the works, a program in flux although headed in the right direction Very busy call, faculty very young, lots of traffic in Seattle between sites Surgical experience middle of the road. Seattle is gorgeous but issues with high cost of living. Very very busy call (q5 for first two years then q10). 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
