Interview Experiences Very good interview day. I was more impressed with the program than I expected to be. great Nice dinner the night before. A little hectic with wanting you to see the VA in addition to the main hospital. Beautiful campus- generally good experience except PD aired dirty laundry about a resident during the interview. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Advantages Location. Some of the nicest attendings I met on the trail. TAMPA! residents mad chill, great attendings great location, really fun residents Tampa is great. The hospital is on the water. Very good program. Growing reputation. Has very strong training sites (All childrens, Moffit Cancer Center). Balanced program. Location. Program Disadvantages Required intern year is horrendous - 9 months of q4-5 call. If not for this, USF would be in my top 5. 3mo surgery in prelim yr None Rotations at multiple sites in different parts of town. Most spots are categorical. Could be an advantage if that's what you want. Doesn't sound like a cush first year if you're looking for a TY experience. Multiple hospital sites equals high travel. Bad experience with PD interview 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
