-overshadowed by other top tier southern california programs like UCLA, USC

extremely busy, brutal first year call, evening lectures, LA is expensive, lots of driving, very malignant program (they'll try to dispel this myth during interview day but don't buy it). Don't get to rotate at JSEI until 3rd year, residents stressed
