Birmingham was not the nicest city I visited, but if you are married and want a house, it is affordable

The PD Dr. Burquist was extremely knowledgeable of the ABRs changes in the boards and what we should expect. The faculty were all top notch I thought. They emphasized teaching big time. The interviews are pretty laid back.

high volume, you rotate thru 5-6 different hospitals; excellent health benefits, great attendings in every specialty that are great teachers

none that I could see; some people don't like the large class size, but I did

the medical center is small and all the attendings are in private practice and just affiliated with the University; b/c of this it seemed like the medical center had problems implementing hospital wide policies and things were a little disorganized

- Program Advantages:
high volume, excellent attendings, great facilities; has a reputation of preparing residents very well for oral boards (one of the highest pass rates in the country I think). Nashville is a great place to live too
