Match Experience I definitely felt a geographical bias and had to emphasize to out-of-state programs why I wanted to do my residency there. I received two late interviews by calling/e-mailing and was granted an interview off the wait list. I think that rotating at Jefferson allowed me to get a foot in the door - I got to meet the residency program director and make connections. Without this lead, I don't know if I would have received an interview - and ultimately matched there.
