| | - Applied - Attended interview - Interview Experience:
| Super nice, open, relaxed: 3 20-min interviews with faculty, hang-out time with a resident. So-so lunch but super social residents (pre dinner was better). Whirlwind tour of nice new facilities and less of the old ones. | - Program Advantages:
| Personable residents, lots of 1:1 faculty excited about teaching, few fellows, good breadth of pathology (tertiary care+community hospital experience), many opportunities for research, good track record for big-name fellowships, decent volume plus apparen | - Program Disadvantages:
| Not a level-1 trauma center (but they're building one), commuting required since required rotating at Northshore near Evanston, alone time call (+cost of living downtown). No mention of moonlighting. Alone call (scary?) |
