GREAT intern year. Such great diversity of cases, complexity is definitely there. Resident comraderie seemed good (6/10)
- Program Disadvantages:
When asked about moonlighting, the residents I was talking with were baffled saying they hadn't much time to sleep let alone moonlight. They get thrown into some cases early on in training, seemingly before they're ready (or so it seemed), putting many re

Impressive facilities, SO MUCH MONEY. Lots of interviewers, all nice.
- Program Advantages:
All the money for every anesthesia toy i'd ever want. Great complexity of cases, great fellowships in house. Moonlighting paying crazy money.
- Program Disadvantages:
Too many chefs in the kitchen, tons of fellows, residents- even with 100 OR's, there's encroaching going on. Didn't meet the PD there, but there are like 10 heads of the department or so it seemed. I'm not sure you'd easily get a competitive fellowship at

Match Experience
All personal issues being equal my list was like Pitt, Wisconsin, Case... then the rest: CCF, TJU, WVU. Importance to me were quality of education, resident happiness, and lifestyle. So happy I matched at my #1, Pitt. Wouldn't change a thing. People rave about Pitt being a top program and hospital system, which it is, and you guys shouldn't sell Wisconsin or Case short- also great for anesthesia.
