Interview Experiences Went smootly. Dinner the night before was ok. very chill. No surprises Residents and faculty were very nice and laid-back. Power point presentation about the program. Facilities were very nice with a lot of work space for residents. My rotation here was an audition rotation, where the rotation counts as the interview. Was an incredible program to rotate through. Everyone was unbelievably nice and happy with their lives. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Advantages Up and coming program. If you like surgery and a lot of hands on experience this is the program for you. Facilities are brand new...and resident workspace is the best that I've seen. lots of surgery, nice faculty, small but very nice town. Very good, rapidly-growing program. One fellowship trained MOHs surgeon and 2 others that are a part of ASMS. Very strong surgery experience. They start you out doing MOHs your first week as a resident. They now have seven or eight faculty members and Lots of Mohs, program is expanding, faculty are great. Fantastic clinical dermatology and Mohs! Get lots of hands-on experience with surgeries. Residents can take layers and play an integral part in planning closures. Mohs experience here is hard to beat. Residents and Faculty are very fun to work with. Program Disadvantages Only 4 full time faculty. Weak in peds. Temple Texas is in the middle of nowhere...it will take some getting used to. Temple is not for everyone, but if you have a significant other and/or are ok with not having a huge night life, this place has a lot of nice perks. No pediatric dermatologist It's in Temple, TX. Less exposure to pedi derm. Located in smaller town. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
