| This place trains you in everything, embraces all parts of dermatology, and does them all well. Its training is broader than any other program I went to. I love the city as well. |

| Lots of waiting around like most places. Almost got in a car wreck on my way back to the airport. |
- Program Advantages:
| You see a lot of patients with weird stuff and more bread-and-butter than you would expect. The environment is very nurturing. |

| Narrower training than some places. No cosmetics. You will never take a Mohs layer here. I felt like the residents were not as knowledgeable as at other places. Maybe because it's so warm and fuzzy? |

| Galveston is a cool place to live I think, but it may be too quiet for some people. I thought the faculty were all cool and laid back. I would have been very happy here. |

| Lots of patients and unusual pathology. Great place if you want to become a basic scientist. |
- Program Disadvantages:
| Residents get chewed out a lot and put on the spot all the time, but they know their stuff. They have frequent quizzes. |
