The program had a very laid back vibe to it, which I found surprising (and refreshing) for the University of Chicago. The Faculty are all really nice, and the residents were great.
- Program Disadvantages:
It's a little smaller of a program than you might think (at least based on the U of Chicago name). It's in a bad part of Chicago.

The faculty and residents are some of the nicest, friendliest people I've ever met. New Orleans can be a really fun (or at least unique) city to live in.
- Program Disadvantages:
Have to drive to Beloxi, MI for VA clinics. The program seems to have been hit pretty hard by Katrina, and is only now starting to recover.

It's kind of like speed dating. You have 8 minute interviews with all the faculty members. It's a little hectic, but fun.
- Program Advantages:
Well rounded curriculum. Tons of research opportunities. The residents all seemed really happy. Dr. Cooper is awesome.

You only have two 15 minute panel interviews (5-6 ppl per panel), which I personally wasn't a huge fan of. I didn't feel like they had a chance to get to know me. Also, some panel members didn't even look up from their computers during my entire intervi

Excellent faculty, fantastic resources (having the transplant center there is amazing - lots of GVHD, etc.), good exposure to Mohs, Dermpath.
- Program Disadvantages:
The only thing I didn't like about UPMC was the interview.
