- Interview Experience:
Very cool interview day with hands-on activities like starting surgical airways on a pig trachea, regional anesthesia demonstration and sim lab demonstration. Residents seem very friendly and happy. Department appears to be growing.
- Program Advantages:
- Great hours with an average of 55h/wk. - Houston is a really fun city with lots to do - Department has new chair and PD for the last 5ish years who are making a lot of changes with resident-friendliness as the priority - Latest class has 11 out of 2
- Program Disadvantages:
- Lack of strong research opportunities
