  Med C Virginia:
- Rotated at this institution
- Applied
- Attended interview
- Program Advantages:
Strong surgical numbers and clinical experience. You will leave this institution being a strong general ophthalmologist. There is a lot of pathology which you will see, and it is a level one trauma center.
- Program Disadvantages:
Q3 call as intern, but if you're looking to learn a lot this could be an advantage. Also, they recently switched to fri-sun call on the weekends so you're only on call one weekend of the month.

Match Experience
In general, don't be discouraged if your scores/grades aren't absolutely stellar. The most important thing to do is an away rotation at the institution you would like to match at, work really hard, present to the attendings, always have a good attitude and show them that you deserve to be there. Good luck.
