Interview Experiences Good experience. Nice faculty. Felt a little pressured about caliber of other aplicants Kind of weird. No one had read my CV, and I felt like there was a bit of a confrontational attitude. 2 day interview with 13-14 one-on-one interviews in total. Interviewed at UTSW-Austin. Very fun interview day! Also was long, but residents made it enjoyable. Amazing!!! 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Advantages very well known and respected, easy city to live in Great program. Great research. Lots of patients and unusual pathology. Great place if you want to become a basic scientist. Excellent clinical exposure, tons of research opportunities, the faculty are all great to work with, the didactic curriculum is fantastic. Very well-rounded program. Unique training in psych-derm combination clinic. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Disadvantages a lot of pressure to publish Residents get chewed out a lot and put on the spot all the time, but they know their stuff. They have frequent quizzes. Surgical experience wasn't as strong as other Texas programs. Lots of driving between clinics. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
