Interview Experiences Brief. Took less than an hour to interview with the faculty and the residents before I took off. Show up early. first derm interview of season. I feel like I kind of fell flat on this one. All three faculty members interview at the same time for ~20min Great! Have to give a 5 minute powerpoint presentation about yourself, which is a great way to showcase your strengths and let your personality shine through. The day was pretty long, despite the interviews after the presentation being a little too short. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Advantages Nice facilities. I really like the residents. self contained department on UofO campus Oklahoma City is growing quickly and has a lot to offer. Great exposure to pedi derm and variation in patient skin types. New, well-known chair. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Disadvantages Lost very important faculty. small program, requires occasional travel to Tulsa for dermpath Brand new department chair. Program will be growing/changing, which is probably actually a good thing. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
