Well organized, thought this was a great program
- Program Advantages:
Really well-rounded, some top-notch faculty all around. Great head and neck and peds experience. Chairmen was excellent. Faculty overall were very approachable and down to earth.
- Program Disadvantages:
City was a disadvantage to me. Seemed like a nice little town, but too small for me.

District of Columbia

Seemed to be well rounded.

Hospitals were not located in the same area, at least 15-30 minute drive.

- Program Advantages:
Really great program and up and coming. Well rounded, had at least one faculty in every area of ENT. The chairmen here is excellent, very approachable and nice. The residents seemed very happy and liked their program alot. The facilities are nice.

Michigan

Well-rounded. Residents were happy and faculty was nice.
- Program Disadvantages:
There seemed to be some issues with funding, since the DMC divorced Wayne State U. City was disadvantage for me.

Well organized and nice day, but only got to meet a 1/3 of the faculty. This is a large program so that was understandable
- Program Advantages:
Great program, tons of research. Very good if you are interested in academics. Residents get good fellowships and seem to have well rounded operative experience
- Program Disadvantages:
Only a few residents showed up to the night before social event.
North Carolina

Great clinical program, very well-rounded and residents seemed to get great operative experience. Faculty were very down to earth and approachable.
- Program Disadvantages:
Alot of the residents go into private practice, so it was hard to gauge their competitiveness for fellowship.

Ohio

Solid program, great faculty. Residents were very positive about their experience. Overall very good program.

Seemed pretty head and neck heavy. No VA, but residents do rotate at the prison.

Not well-organized, went over time, some people had to rush to the airport.
- Program Advantages:
Nice faculty, seemed to have really good plastics experience. Very well developed international rotations.
- Program Disadvantages:
Did not seem as well-rounded, plastics did free flaps. Residents seemed overworked and were not very cohesive.

Texas

- Program Advantages:
Friendly faculty and residents were happy.
- Program Disadvantages:
Was unsure about the surgical training there, they did not show or talk about case logs. Small program and seemed weak in some areas.

Washington

Great program, excellent academic opportunities and surgical training. Really nice facilities. Residents are seemed very happy. Faculty was really down to earth and approachable. Seattle is beautiful!

Match Experience
Overall it was a good experience with its ups and downs. I was a couples match so there was some added stress, but everything worked out great. Successful couples match with Gen surg!! The process is very random, have fun and take advantage of all the delicious free food/drink opportunities!!
