Interview Experiences Impressive place with awesome training environment, i think. Came away thinking it was much better than I suspected going in. lots of interviews! no malignant questions, seemed interested in why you want to come to Ohio State Awesome. It was on a saturday, which made it easier for all the faculty to be there and in no rush. Interviews (I think 10 total) were quick and painless. Even more so having rotated here. Nice driving tour. Only bummer was everyone had to interview in th Great, long day though. Very long day... 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Advantages politically powerful at institution, great facilities, residents are treated very well, top 3 operative program SERIOUS case numbers, depth, and balance. Faculty are so impressive and very involved with resident education. H&N team is very awesome. Residents super chill. Columbus is by far the best city in Ohio, and one of the best in the midwest. Ranked in top 3. Solid program, great faculty. Residents were very positive about their experience. Overall very good program. Strong surgical experience and new cancer center 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Disadvantages extremely hard work Case numbers might be unnecessarily high, which is reflected in resident fatigue level. Their home call hurts them here I think. Seemed pretty head and neck heavy. No VA, but residents do rotate at the prison. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
