Interview Experiences
I had two mildly confrontational interviews, one from the program director and another from one of the more experienced faculty who seemed like he was trying to assess my political lean. Residents were really great. I loved hanging out with them.
thought this place was great. i've always loved charlottesville, and UVA is a beautiful place. Wound up ranking this place very high.
Program Advantages
Charlottesville seems like a great place to live. Residents get a good facial plastics experience, otology as well.
Program Disadvantages
Limited Peds. Not much research (res student does flap checks). PD surprised me by suggesting you couldn't be a successful oto-researcher coming from the program. I don't believe this. Maybe he thought I'd be unhappy without more research?
