Very nice group of people. I was actually surprised by this as I expected them to be more cut-throat. Residents seemed to really like the program. Very impressive hospital system.
- Program Disadvantages:
Not the place to go if you're not really intensely research-focused. St. Louis is a negative as I've just heard of so many violent crimes being perpetrated even within a tight area around the hospital.

Match Experience
I loved going on interviews and meeting more applicants. It's a very small world and you will likely make friends with a number of people who you see multiple times. Try to figure out what you're looking for in a program and rank based on that. Lay people don't typically know where the best ophtho programs are, so don't let that sway you when determining which programs to apply to and where to rank.
