Interview Experiences would have been nice to have some sort of ppt at beginning, VERY difficult to find interview (get there early and ask for directions), interviews were pretty chill Great. Faculty made the interviews so relaxed and fun. lunch and tour were great. The social the night before was kind of weak (only 3 out of 20 residents showed up.) 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Advantages superior operative experience (probably top 3 in nation), lots of autonomy, diverse clinical experience serious numbers and faculty. The most faculty of any place I attended. Autonomy is very high and valued here. Residents get great exposure early, and operate a lot. Something that should REALLY be mentioned is that this is the ONLY program in a city of ~7 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Disadvantages didn't fit in with resident culture, some rotations are crazy busy (q2 and q3), intern year you are thrown to the general surgeons because they don't have enough intern coverage, fairly weak politically (turf battles for plastics/OMFS) Residents seemed a little worn down, but other than that, it is a fantastic place. Wouldve ranked it in top 3 if it were closer to home. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
