Interview Experiences Friendly, laid back. Nice residents and faculty. 3 interviews, nice people. I really liked the program director. Didn't meet the Chair. Residents seemed like they got along great with each other. Super cool residents that took me out to dinner. PD is a little cold, but chairman was amazing. exocentric reblend monocyte tuberculid truthable prolongate failingness gurgly

GOOD Great dinner the night before with residents at local (nice) restaurant.
Interview day divided up on 2 groups - morning and afternoon group. Breakfast at hotel beforehand, then either interviews followed by tour or vice versa. 4 x30 minute interviews (o 17 17 17 17 17 17 17

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION, AFFORDABLE TO LIVE
GREAT REPUTATION AND HUGE HOSPITAL WITH NO NEED FOR AWAY ROTATION
GREAT MOONLIGHTING
Large hospital system that covers virtually everything. Strong in neuro, OB, several ICUs. Homecall system (internal moonlighting) provides ample opportunity for extra experience & income. PD & Chair both very likeable with great vision for where to take 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
Program Disadvantages Seems weak in peds relative to other areas. It is in the south...just feels different if you've never lived there.
Not sure how the name will be received if goal is to return out west eventually. Only advanced standing. It's in Birmingham. exocentric reblend monocyte tuberculid truthable prolongate failingness gurgly

New peds hospital still in process of being finished. Currently more of a private practice atmosphere and no fellowship. Cardiac volume relatively low but hiring new faculty and dept growing rapidly. 17 17 17 17 17 17 17
